September, not January, still has that new year feel for me. I don't think I will ever quite leave behind that back to school feeling of the new academic year. January is too fraught with expectation. The pressure to conform to the whole new year, new me mantra doesn't sit well with me. So, it's business as usual. I had a lovely Christmas filled with family and friends, good food and some nice drinks. (See cocktails pics below.) Work resumed on 31st of December as I had a deadline to meet for an essay for The Dublin Review of Books.
December was busy with the launch of My Virtual Life. Thanks to all who came out to support me on the busiest social night of the year - the night of all the work Christmas parties. We toasted My Virtual Life and Katie Kelly performed a wonderful reading as I was recovering from a bad choking accident. Don't ask!
