Events

2020 has been a woeful for many reasons but one of the things I have missed the most has been book events. I have missed hosting them, taking part in them and sitting in the audience enjoying other writers talking about their work. Here's some previous events to remind you that writers love nothing more than sharing their stories with a live audience, as opposed to a dead one.

Belfast book Festival Lit Crawl, Tropical Ravine June 2018

A Story in Two Parts
Belfast is a city of contradictions. Sharon Dempsey will explore both sides with readings from her contemporary women’s fiction novel, A Posy of Promises, and her dark, enthralling crime novel, Little Bird.
The readings will be accompanied by Alfie and Stevie on guitar, and harpist Lára
Mulgrew.
There is a dark side, our history of political violence and social unrest and then there is a sense that we are a warm, welcoming city, surrounded by the beautiful green hills and full of culture, humour and craic. No one side tells the whole story.
Some pics from the Lit Crawl event. I was amazed at the turn out and so grateful to Alfie, Stevie and Lara who provided the music on the night. Actress Aimee McGoldrick read from A Posy of Promises.
